Reports: Jets' Damien Woody Out For Season
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley has received an early present prior to Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Multiple outlets are reporting that right tackle Damien Woody will miss the remainder of the season after injuring his right knee in Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Woody underwent an MRI today which showed he'll need
arthroscopic surgery later this week. Woody initially injured the knee on Nov. 21 against the Houston Texans.
Career backup Wayne Hunter is expected to start at right tackle and it will be his first career start in the NFL.
After being forced into action Sunday, Hunter allowed three sacks.
Like the Steelers, the Jets are struggling on offense. They have not scored a touchdown in two straight games.
