Steelers Sign Linebacker Arthur Moats To One-Year Deal
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With the Steelers still looking at help for linebacker, the team announced Monday that they've agreed to a one-year deal with former Buffalo Bills linebacker Arthur Moats.
The 26-year-old Moats was drafted by the Bills in the sixth round, 178th overall in the 2010 draft out of James Madison University.
Moats has played in 59 games over his four years in the league recording 141 combined tackles (80 solo, 61 assists), 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. Moats can also serve as a contributor to the Steelers on special teams.
What this signing also means though is that a return to the Steelers for free agent James Harrison is now very unlikely given that the team has filled their need at that position.
