Report: Should The Steelers Draft An Inside Linebacker?
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Despite inside linebacker not being a position of need for the Steelers in this year's draft, Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports.com looked at whether or not that would stop the team from drafting another one.
With Pro Bowler Lawrence Timmons and last year's first-round draft pick in Ryan Shazier manning the inside linebacker position, one would think the Steelers would focus on other positions in the draft, at least in the early rounds.
Larrabee says the reason he could see the Steelers drafting an inside linebacker would be if a player fell to them that was simply too good to not draft.
In the end, it's likely the Steelers early draft picks will be spent on cornerbacks and pass rushers, leaving little room for the Steelers to draft a luxury like a third inside linebacker.
