Penn Hills Shooting Suspect Surrenders

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A 15-year-old wanted in the shooting death of a man outside the McDonald's in Penn Hills has turned himself in.

Akeem Willie allegedly shot and killed 18-year-old Dalyn Jones in the parking lot of the restaurant on Frankstown Road.

Willie, of Homewood, is now facing charges of criminal homicide, robbery, endangering the welfare of another person and weapons charges.

"I don't have [anything] to say. I don't know what you're talking about," he told reporters.

One of Willie's cousins told KDKA-TV on Thursday that Willie and Jones knew each other.

Police say they made arrangements to meet for a drug transaction and that Willie ultimately gunned down Jones over $200 in hydroponic marijuana.

Several surveillance cameras in the McDonald's parking lot caught some of the images and that footage proved to be key evidence.

One of the cameras shows two people entering the car in which Jones was a passenger and then moments later emerging while shooting the victim.

One of those people is alleged to be Willie. Police have not named the second individual.

Jones' mother told KDKA-TV she was too distressed about her son's death to talk about the arrest.
