Report: Harrison Won't Play Sunday
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — After conflicting reports, it appears Steelers linebacker James Harrison will not be available to play Sunday against Baltimore.
On Monday evening, 93-7 The Fan's Steelers insider Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Harrison would be ready to play Sunday. His agent, Bill Parise, said, "unless something happens, he will play this week.''
That was later disputed by Harrison, who tweeted that he is cleared for practice but won't be ready to play Sunday. Harrison suffered a broken orbital bone in a 17-10 loss at Houston Oct. 2.
If linebacker Lamarr Woodley is unable to play Sunday as well — he injured his hamstring in the second half Sunday against New England and did not return — the Steelers would likely be forced to start rookie Chris Carter, Stevenson Sylvester, Larry Foote and Lawrence Timmons at linebacker.
Linebacker James Farrior has a torn calf that could keep him out for a month.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will address these and other injuries today in his weekly press conference, which can be heard live on Sports Radio 93-7 The Fan.
