Regional Economic Study Says Marcellus Shale Bigger Then Predicted
PITTSBURGH (NEWSRADIO 1020 KDKA) -- You've heard of people who think that someday the mills will return to Pittsburgh, and you've probably thought that would never happen.
It turns out, steel mills and manufacturing could return to Pittsburgh in a big way, and it has to do with the Marcellus Shale industry.
Dr. James Smith, of WVU, has finished a report that shows that the economic benefits of Marcellus Shale will be far greater than previously predicted for the Pittsburgh region.
