Ravens' Analyst Outlines Loss Of Ray Lewis To Season-Ending Injury
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Former Baltimore Ravens and current team analyst Qadry Ismail joined John Seibel and Josh Miller of Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to talk about the loss of team leader Ray Lewis.
Qadry said, "you knew this day was going to be here at some point, certainly you didn't want it to be on a time where it's in the middle of the season, a defense that kind of is in transition. You didn't want it to be when your team was leading the AFC North...but so be it, this is life in the NFL."
When it came to discussing this possibly being the final year of Lewis' career, Qadry said given that it's a triceps injury, Lewis could come back and play at a high level. Knowing Ray like he does, Qadry said he won't be surprised if he comes back because he'll want to go out on his terms.
Qadry also told us the difference between Ray Lewis the player, and Ray Lewis the field general, which may be worth more to their team at this point.
