PennDOT: Roads Should Reopen Soon

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The flood water may have already begun to recede, but heavy rainfall earlier this week is continuing to cause problems on some of the region's roadways.

Earlier today, PennDOT announced that six roads in Allegheny and Beaver County remained closed; but the transit department has since re-opened two of those state routes. CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST CLOSURES

State Routes 1008 (Soap Run/Shady Rest Road) and 1015 (Hartzell School Road) are now both back open to traffic.

As of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, four roads remained closed; but PennDOT says they are expected to reopen either later tonight or early tomorrow morning.
