Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor: "I'm Just Trying To Be A Better Person"
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Jeannette native and Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor joined Starkey and Miller on Sports Radio 93-7 The FAN to talk about getting his first career start last week, and learning from his past mistakes in order to be a better man today.
Pryor said his coaches on the sideline had to tell him to settle down at times because he was so excited to get out there and make his first start. When it comes to being a full-time starter, Pryor said he's expecting at some point to be given the opportunity to be a team's starting quarterback and he will just wait for his time.
Terrelle discussed his relationship with Raiders starting quarterback Carson Palmer and how they worked together to get him ready to start in Week 17 against the San Diego Chargers.
When looking back at how his football career has played out, Pryor said he was "selfish" in the past but is finally on the straight path and in the best place personally he has ever been in.
While discussing his rocky history with Ohio State, Pryor said "I made some tremendous mistakes from a school that I loved with all my heart, and it's tough not to be able to go there, tough not to graduate."
We also got Pryor's thoughts on the Rookie of the Year race in the NFL, Tim Tebow's career, and when he expects to start again.
