Pittsburgh Police Asking For Assistance In Unsolved Homicide Of 20-Year-Old Raekwon Epps
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Police are asking for assistance in solving the homicide of a 20-year-old man in Homewood.
In August 2016, Raekwon Epps was shot and killed while sitting outside with some friends in the 800 block of Brushton Avenue.
"It's just a pain that's undescribable as a human being," Raekwon's mother Lisa Epps said.
Police said Raekwon Epps suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 20-year-old was sitting in a chair when he was approached by the shooter.
Officials also say there were several witnesses to the crime.
"Open your heart, do something," Raekwon's step-mother Rosalind Epps said. "You don't have to give your name. Try to give my family a little bit of peace."
Lisa Epps said the family can't reveal any details about discussions with investigators, but they say they do feel hopeful for "the first time in a long time."
Please call 412-323-7800 or 412-323-7161 with any information.
"The first year I was asking," Lisa Epps said. "The second year I was pleading. This is the third year. I'm humbly begging the public, somebody to speak up on my son's case and bring closure."
