Puck Hits Sidney Crosby's Face In Islanders Game
UNIONDALE, N.Y. (KDKA/AP) -- Penguins captain Sidney Crosby left Thursday night's game temporarily after getting hit the face with a puck.
The incident happened early in the second period off of a puck shot by New York Islanders defenseman Dylan Reese.
He was trying to get the puck out of a corner when it hit Crosby.
According to reports, Crosby was on the ice for about a minute before skating off toward the tunnel leading to the dressing room.
He returned to the bench with 10:13 left in the period, and was back on the ice moments later.
