PSU Holds Pittsburgh Town Hall
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One year ago Friday, Joe Paterno was fired as the head football coach at Penn State.
And many still question that decision.
Saturday, a town hall meeting was held in Pittsburgh. It was hosted by one of Paterno's most out-spoken defenders, former Penn State running back Franco Harris.
He says he has new questions about the scandal following charges that were just filed against Penn State President Graham Spanier.
"The timing is very suspect," Harris said. "We have a lame duck attorney general, wonder why that really happened."
Saturday's town hall included a presentation of recently completed analysis of the Freeh Report, which alleges a university cover-up of Jerry Sandusky's assault on young boys.
