Proteau: Pens Still Need A Wing
PITTSBURGH (KDKA 93-7 THE FAN) -- Bob Pompeani had a chance to catch up with Adam Proteau of The Hockey News to talk about the Pens and the NHL.
Proteau said that the Pens had as good a chance to win the Stanley Cup at the beginning of the season, but anybody who's watched Chicago has to be impressed. The Blackhawks have goal scoring as well as a great defensive corps.
When asked by Pompeani if the Pens have an answer for the Malkin line, Proteau says that he doesn't think so.
Proteau added that the Pens' biggest need is the same as the start of the season: depth at wing. Proteau throws out the name of Jarome Iginla as a possibility, although several other teams would also be in the sweepstakes.
