Prediction Machine Offers Picks For 2013 Pirates & Final Four
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Paul Bessire, better known by the name of his simulation program, "The Prediction Machine," joined The Fan Morning Show on Thursday to offer the machine's picks for the Final Four and for the 2013 Major League Baseball season.
Bessire's machine only gave Wichita St. a one percent chance of making the Final Four, and now that the Shockers are there, it gives them a 20 percent chance of getting past Louisville.
Louisville wins the national title in almost half of Bessire's Final Four simulations.
As for the Pirates, the machine gives the Pirates only a 10 percent chance of making the postseason, labeling the Reds as the clear favorite in the NL Central.
