Power Restored After Utility Pole Splits In Evans City
EVANS CITY (KDKA) -- A utility pole split, started a brush fire and knocked out power for hours for 500 Penn Power customers in Butler County.
It happened along Route 68 in Evans City.
One family didn't have power for five hours, but they took it in stride.
"I don't think they knew any old days without the Xbox and the PlayStation and all that stuff," Jeff Pandocchi said.
The 7-Eleven convenience store had to turn away customers because they didn't have power.
Officials are investigating to find out why the pole split.
Power was restored to all Penn Power customers at about 6 p.m. Thursday.
