Power Outages Reported As Superstorm Moves Through Area
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- More than three million people were without power as of Monday evening because of Superstorm Sandy, and most of them are in and around New York City.
In our area, there are scattered outages.
Just before 11 p.m. Monday, Penn Power was reporting several thousand outages.
The most were in Allegheny County with more than 2,500, and also in Westmoreland County with more than 2,200.
Power crews have been brought in from the Midwest to help get power restored once the storm is over.
But for some people, it could be a week before that happens.
Stay with KDKA for the latest details.
