Poll: Sorry Eagles, Steelers Are Pennsylvania's Favorite NFL Team
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Philadelphia may be the largest city in Pennsylvania, but a new poll shows the Pittsburgh Steelers are the state's favorite NFL team.
Harper Polling did the survey over the holidays.
They found that 41% of those surveyed preferred the Steelers, and 31% preferred the Eagles.
The New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys also made the list.
Harper says one big advantage for Steelers is the home-region loyalty.
88% of Yinzers say the Steelers are their favorite team, while only 62% of those in Southeast Pennsylvania say the Eagles were their favorite team.
The survey also found that only 54% of Steeler fans would let their daughter marry an Eagles fan, while 61% of Eagles fans would let their daughter marry a Steelers Fan.
