Police Warn Against Taking Selfies With Atlanta Alligator
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP/KDKA) - Police near Atlanta are warning people that taking a Snapchat with a local alligator could turn into a not-so-cute situation.
The trouble started when a 6-foot gator affectionately known as "Flat Creek Floyd" showed up near Peachtree, a town 30 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.
The local police posted to social media warning people not to go near Floyd.
According to CBS affiliate WGCL, police advised against "feeding him" or "disturbing him" which officials elaborated on as "taking selfies with him".

Police say that when Floyd was spotted earlier this month, it was the first alligator sighting in the area in five years. Gators are common in parts of south Georgia, but are not usually seen in metro Atlanta.
