Police: SWAT Called After Man Fires Shot During Sheraden Domestic Dispute

SHERADEN (KDKA) -Pittsburgh Police and the SWAT team were called to Sheraden Wednesday morning. A man allegedly fired a shot during a domestic dispute, despite three children being home at the time.

According to police, the incident started at a home in the 2700-block of Bergman Street around 7 a.m.

Initially, it started as a domestic dispute between a man and woman. During the argument, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and fired one shot.

"This is basically a domestic situation. It started out as a verbal, where a mother of three children and her boyfriend got into an argument. She tells us that there was a shot fired inside the house," Pittsburgh Police Spokeswoman Sonya Toler said.

Two of the children got out of the house - one went to school, while the other ran to a neighbor.

The woman also got out by telling her boyfriend she had to get clothes for the baby.

However, a 1-year-old was still inside when SWAT arrived.

The woman escaped by claiming a neighbor had clothes to give her for the children.

The man surrendered without incident around 10 a.m. He has been identified as 20-year-old Dock Markenus Fielder.

Police later searched the house and recovered a gun.

There are no reported injuries.
