Police Stepping Up DUI Patrols This Weekend
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police say they will be stepping up DUI patrols across the city this weekend.
According to authorities, the Pittsburgh DUI Task Force will have extra officers on patrol keeping an eye out for people who are drinking and driving.
Authorities say people out and about this weekend can expect to see sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols.
Police say they extra effort is being put in place because of the St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend celebrations as well as the NCAA Tournament, which is taking place over at CONSOL Energy Center.
The checkpoints and patrols will be in place throughout the City of Pittsburgh.
