Police Seek Woman Accused Of Preying On Bank Customers
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A local woman is accused of preying on bank customers at ATM machines.
Police are trying to track her down, and they say this isn't the first time she's used a bogus story to get some quick cash.
Amanda Krull, 23, is wanted by Pittsburgh Police, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department and West Mifflin Police.
Krull has multiple prior arrests, including police say for allegedly going door-to door collecting money for a fake charity.
Krull is now accused of swindling money from victims at local ATM machines, including one at a PNC Bank on Route 51 in West Mifflin.
Police there say she's targeted at least three or four people.
Pittsburgh investigators say she asks people to deposit checks for her, and then takes cash from the deposit. The check later turns out to be fraudulent.
Krull is known to frequent the Sheraden, Brentwood, Carrick and Brookline areas.
She's facing charges of theft by deception and bad checks.
