Police Seek Suspect In Perrysville Avenue Convenience Store Robbery
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in an armed convenience store robbery earlier this month on Perrysville Avenue.
Authorities were called to the Swinkos convenience store in the 2500-block of Perrysville Avenue around 4 p.m. on Dec. 11.
According to police, the suspect directed the clerk to go to the back of the store, squat down and count to 100 while he left the store after the robbery.
However, authorities say the clerk told police the suspect overheard him stop counting while he was leaving and "came back, pointed the gun at the victim and told the victim to keep counting."
The suspect is described as an African American male in his late-20s to late-30s. He had a stocky build, was five-foot-10, had a slight scar on one of his cheeks and was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
