Police Seek Help In Finding Fayette Co. Rape Suspect
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have release surveillance photos in the hope of finding the man accused of raping a Fayette County teen.
Police say a 14-year-old girl was walking along Route 40 toward Hopwood around 1:30 a.m. July 7, when she was approached by a man in a car.
The man, believed to be about 22 years old, introduced himself as "Tom" and offered the girl gifts if she got in the car.
The girl did then get in the car and the man took her to an isolated area of Atlas Crossings Road and forced her to have sexual intercourse.
The suspect is described as having black curly hair and some facial hair.
He was also driving a dark red, mid-sized SUV. Police have released photos of the car in hopes of finding the suspect.
