Police Seek 2 Suspects In Armed Robbery At Ligonier Tavern
LIGONIER (KDKA) -- Police are looking for two suspects following a frightening armed robbery early Saturday morning at a tavern in Westmoreland County.
The robbery happened around 2 a.m. at Bull's Tavern on Route 30 in Ligonier.
Ligonier Township Police say the two suspects, who were armed with handguns, got in through a back doorway and forced one employee onto the floor.
According to investigators, they had a second employee get money from the register and then had her follow them outside, threatening her life if the police came.
They then forced her to the ground as well and fled the scene heading toward Rosary Acres.
Both suspects are described as white males believed to be taller than five-foot-eight. They were wearing long-sleeved shirts, jeans, hats and glasses.
Police say the taller of the two men had blue eyes and light-colored hair.
One had on a gray sweatshirt with orange writing across the front and the other had on sunglasses and a bandana.
