Police Searching For Missing North Side Woman
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police are looking for a missing woman from the North Side.
Monica Lee, 41, was last seen on Aug. 31 when she left her North Side home.
Lee's father says she left without saying a word.
"That's not normal," said Edward Lee, the missing woman's father. "She usually says something to her father or leaves me a note or something before she leaves. She didn't say anything."
Lee is a mother of three boys.
Her father says she's on medication for a behavioral condition. She's missed dosages, and two medical appointments. Because she left so early in the morning, her father isn't sure what she may have taken with her, or what clothing she was wearing at the time.
"I'm extremely worried," Lee's father said. "We got family coming in from out of town and everybody is trying to find her."
She is described as 6-feet tall, weighing 295 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
Police say she is known to spend time in Bellevue.
But her father says he's already searched there for his daughter.
"We've checked all through the area," he said. "We've checked the friends that live up there."
The concerned father says he just wants his daughter to call him and to come home.
Anyone who has seen Monica Lee or knows where she is, should call 911 or the Missing Persons Unit of Pittsburgh Police at 412-323-7141.
