Police Release Surveillance Photos As Investigation Continues Into Bar Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police have released two surveillance photos from inside the Homewood bar where a security guard was shot and killed Monday night.
Police are continuing to investigating the circumstances surrounding the Monday night shooting at the Rendezvous Phase III bar on Hamilton Avenue.
Investigators describe the men in the surveillance images only as "potential witnesses."
In one of the photos, a man is seen wearing a bright, reflective vest while standing the bar.
In a release late Wednesday, police said they would like the public's help in identifying the man because they want to talk to him.
In the second surveillance photo, another man is seen walking toward the front door of the bar, which was at that point, nearly empty with bar stools scattered on the floor, apparently the result of a scuffle between the suspect and murder victim, Deion Nesbitt.
Police have not said if either man played a part in the shooting; however, Nesbitt's father told a vigil Tuesday night that he believes there was a second person involved.
Kevin Gore said, "Some of us in this crowd know who that second person is. It's above snitching now, okay? Cause if you wasn't involved, you ain't snitching. You can call me, tell me who it is."
Already in jail on homicide charge in the Nesbitt shooting is 26-year-old Harvey Scott Jr.
Anyone with information on the case or who recognizes the men in the photos is asked to call the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Homicide Unit at 412-323-7161.
