Police Release Surveillance Footage Of Pierogies Plus Robbery
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have release surveillance footage after a popular pierogie store was robbed in McKees Rocks Tuesday night.
They're hoping it will help them track down the three suspects wanted for holding up Pierogies Plus on Island Avenue.
"The facts of the case are that these individuals were captured on surveillance video walking onto Chartiers Avenue from Stanhope Street in the Elliott/Sheraden area of Pittsburgh," said Chief Robert Cifrulak, of McKees Rocks Police.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, three masked men entered the store, one of which held a gun to an employee's head and demanded cash from the register.
An officer arrived as the burglary was underway, but the three men were able to get away.
However, the men were caught on video surveillance near the Eat 'n Park restaurant on Chartiers Avenue.
Pictures of two of them were also taken from a nearby PNC Bank camera. And another camera caught video clips of the men walking up Island Avenue.
"We're asking if anybody knows these individuals or could recognize these individuals to contact the McKees Rocks Police,' said Chief Cifrulak.
