Woman, Daughter Tied Up During North Side Home Invasion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman and her daughter were tied up during an overnight home invasion in the Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
According to investigators, the victims told police the suspects broke into the Forsythe Street home around 5 a.m. and spent about an hour inside.
Investigators say the men raided the home just as the sun rose, inside were a woman, a young girl and a little boy.
According to what police were told, the men kept demanding to know where the money and drugs were. They are also accused of repeatedly threatening the residents as they went from room to room tearing them apart.
At one point, officials say the woman and the young girl were tied up with towels in the basement while the assailants grabbed the little boy, reportedly threatening to harm the child or take him if their demands weren't met.
Around 6 a.m., the assailants took off without the child.
Throughout the morning, detectives interviewed victims and other family members, removing evidence from the home. While scared, no one was physically harmed in the home invasion.
Investigators say they have very little to go on when it comes to a description except there were up to three assailants and one had a gun.
