Police Probe 4 Break-Ins In Lawrenceville
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are asking residents in Lawrenceville to remain vigilant as they investigate four recent break-ins.
According to investigators, the incidents began on June 4 and have continued through June 11 during the overnight and early morning hours between 9:30 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Two of the break-ins happened in the 300-block of 42nd Street. The other two occurred in the 200-block of 40th Street and the 4600-block of Eden Way.
Police say in three of the incidents, the suspects got in through unlocked windows while the residents were inside the home.
In the fourth incident, police say the suspect broke in through the front door while no one was home.
No contact with the people living in the homes was made during any of the incidents, authorities said.
Police say the suspects have gotten away with money, knives, keys, backpacks and purses.
Pittsburgh police are advising Lawrenceville residents to stay vigilant, keep doors and windows secure, leave outside lights on and call 911 to report any suspicious activities.
