5 Pittsburgh Police Officers Appealing Firing Over Jim Rogers' Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The five Pittsburgh police officers fired in connection with the tasing death of Jim Rogers are appealing.

Rogers died last fall one day after being tased by police at least nine times in Bloomfield.

The officers were given the option of retiring or appealing. A panel will now decide whether to uphold their firings or if they should be reinstated.
