Police were called to the intersection of Amanda Avenue and Jacunda Street in Knoxville, just before midnight for a report of shots fired. That's where they found the victim.
"Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male, deceased, lying in the middle of the street," said Alicia George, a spokeswoman with the Dept. Of Public Safety.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's office identified the shooting victim as 29-year-old Anthony Bullock-Fields of Brentwood.
Police say the initial investigation indicates Bullock-Fields was shot multiple times, then run over by a vehicle.
"At this time, we have a need for the public to call us, with any information. If anyone saw anything, please give violent crime a call," George said.
Police were at the scene for several hours. Evidence markers could be seen on Amanda Street. According to social media reports, Bullock-Fields was the father of a newborn baby. He was killed on his 29th birthday.
