Police Make Arrest In 2010 Fatal Homewood Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Brookline man is behind bars in connection with a 2010 shooting in Homewood that left another man dead.
According to our news partners with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 22-year-old Clifford Wilson is now facing criminal homicide charges in the fatal shooting of 31-year-old William Ford.
Ford, of Penn Hills, was shot and killed back in February of 2010. He was found lying on the sidewalk along Frankstown Avenue.
The Post-Gazette reports that police also found a brown hat and a gun at the scene, which investigators now say had DNA evidence that was tested by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office and links Wilson to the shooting.
Wilson was arrested Thursday and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
The Post-Gazette reports that he was questioned and provided a DNA sample back in September, but told investigators that he was with his girlfriend on the night of the shooting.
