Police Looking For Missing 1-Year-Old Boy

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police are looking for a missing 1-year-old boy from Homewood.

According to police, Raymont Pope was last seen Wednesday morning on Bennett Street.

Police believe the child may be with his father, Radford Pope, in the East Pittsburgh or Wilkinsburg area.

They are not calling this a case of kidnapping or abduction, but the father does not have any custody rights.

He is also under a protection from abuse order and this is not the first time he has taken off with his son.

"There was a case last year involving this family, involving the father and this child where he took the child without the mother's permission and we ended up locating the child in Los Angeles, Calif. The child was unharmed and was returned," Pittsburgh Police Lieutenant Kevin Kraus said.

They are believed to be driving a 2007 silver Chrysler Town & Country minivan with Pennsylvania plate GTX-0261

The child is described as an African-American male weighing 27 pounds. He also has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should call the Missing Persons Unit at (412)-323-7141.
