Police Issue Warrant In Sheraden Kidnapping-Robbery
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police have issued an arrest warrant for a Sheraden man in connection with a reported kidnapping and robbery incident last week.
According to police, 28-year-old David Walker is wanted on charges of conspiracy, robbery and kidnapping and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. on July 12 at Chartiers Avenue and Hillsboro Street in Sheraden.
Investigators say a 22-year-old man was walking in that area when three armed men in a burgundy van pulled up to him and forced him into the vehicle.
The victim reported to police that the suspects made him take off his pants so they could search his clothing. Authorities say they took some money, a cell phone and his identification card.
Police say the victim was able to escape when he jumped from the moving van after seeing some police officers and a group of people. He suffered some minor injuries.
Investigators say they later found the van parked in the 800-block of DuBois Street; however, no one was inside. The suspects were identified to be between the ages of 22- and 30-years-old.
Anyone with information on David Walker's whereabouts is being asked to call 911.
