Downtown July 4th Shooting Suspect Arrested, To Be Charged As Adult
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have arrested a teenage suspect accused in a shooting Downtown on the Fourth of July.
Kishawn Jackson, 16, turned himself in to police around 3 p.m. Monday, after an arrest warrant was issued. He will be charged as adult.
Police say he's the person of interest seen in surveillance images from a bus stop released early this month.
It shows him at the stop in the city's Garfield neighborhood before the shooting, and near Penn Avenue afterward.
Four people were wounded in the shooting near the Wood Street T Station following the city's Fourth of July fireworks celebration.
A woman was shot in the head as she was walking across the street. A girl tried to run from the scene and was shot in the leg. A teenage boy was shot in the leg, and an 18-year-old man was also shot in the leg.
Jackson's charges include two counts of criminal attempt homicide, four counts of aggravated assault, causing a catastrophe, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession of a firearm by a minor, four counts of recklessly endangering another person, and discharging a firearm within the city.

The location has been the focus of growing concern over recent months.
A shooting near the T station just last week left another teenager wounded. Police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Northview Heights in connection with the incident last Tuesday.
