Man Facing Charges For Castle Shannon Bank Robbery
CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) – After leading police on a car chase, a man is facing charges for robbing a Castle Shannon bank Saturday morning.
Allegheny County Police have arrested 43-year-old Sean Greene from Pennsbury Village. He's facing charges for three different bank robberies in Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon and Crafton.
A woman, 39-year-old Amber Johnston of Pittsburgh, will also be charged with conspiracy in connection with the Castle Shannon and Mt. Lebanon robberies.
It started around 9:30 Saturday morning when police say Greene held up the First National Bank on Castle Shannon Boulevard.
Greene was then seen getting into the passenger side of a white, mid-sized car and driving away. A few hours later, Pittsburgh Police spotted a similar car in the West End. When the officer tried to pull the car over, the driver took off.

Police chased the car to Route 21, where Greene made a U-turn into oncoming traffic.
A driver, who did not want to be identified, says he tried to carjack a man in a pick-up truck.
"The supposed suspect got out of the car and was trying to get in the passenger side and he was reaching into his jacket pocket as if he had a weapon of some sort," the driver said.
By then, witnesses say police caught up with Greene and Johnston.
"He initially was trying to run, but he didn't get very far," witness Frederick Fenner said.
"I saw, like, 12 police cars, and they had these huge guns, and they wrestled the lady out of the car and cuffed her," witness Sarah McCusker said. McCusker said she saw Greene, too.
Greene was caught on surveillance footage inside the bank.
"A white male actor came into the bank, slipped the teller a note, demanded cash, then took the cash and walked out of the door," Castle Shannon Police Chief Kenneth Truver said.
Police say Greene indicated he had a weapon, but it was never seen during the robbery.
Greene is also accused of robbing a PNC Bank in Mt. Lebanon on December 22nd and a Dollar Bank in Crafton on December 8th. Amber Johnston is charged with conspiracy.
Both are locked up in the Allegheny County Jail.
