Police Investigating After Shots Fired & Car Hits Wilkinsburg Home
WILKINSBURG (KDKA) - Police are investigating after shots were fired and a vehicle hit a house early this morning in Wilkinsburg.
According to police, roughly 20 shots were fired near the intersection of Fahnestock Street and Grand Avenue around 3:15 a.m.
Police say three people were leaving a party and got into their car, when more than one person came out of the woods and started shooting an AK-47.
The victims took off, but the car stalled on Grand Avenue. All three people jumped out and took off.
When police arrived, they found the shot-up car had struck a home. Police also found a gun inside the abandoned car.
Several other cars in the area also had bullet holes.
"It was just a lot of noise. I know it was a lot of loud noises and gunshots. We just hit the floor, just a lot of stuff happening around here. We want to stop it, we don't want to have it up here," Ken Johnson said.
A house on Grand Avenue was hit by three bullets.
A young woman said she was lying on the couch when a bullet flew into the same room she was in. Her little brother was upstairs sleeping.
No one is in custody and no victims were found at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call Wilkinsburg Police.
