Police Investigating 3 Business Robberies In Fayette County

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) -- Police in Fayette County are on high alert after three businesses were robbed in less than 24 hours.

The first happened early Thursday morning at McPatton's Bar on North Gallatin Avenue in Uniontown.

A heavy set African American man with a bandana over his face and a hooded sweatshirt covering his head walked in with a silver revolver and demanded money from the employee behind the bar.

He then went - calmly and methodically - to each of the nearly dozen patrons and demanded their money. He made each person lay face down on the ground so they couldn't see his face.

A man matching the same description went to the Papa John's on West Main Street in Uniontown around 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

He demanded money from the register and safe. The clerk told police the man made violent threats and forced him to stay on the ground for five minutes as he fled.

The third robbery happened less than an hour later at the Dairy Queen in Brownsville.

It's not clear if the robberies are connected, but the description of the suspect in each does match.

Police are now reviewing surveillance video to see if there are any images of the suspect in any of these robberies that may help to identify him.
