Police Investigate Robbery At Route 51 Rite Aid
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Rite Aid on Route 51 Thursday evening.
According to Pittsburgh police, an armed black male robbed the Rite Aid on the 2500-block of Saw Mill Run Boulevard around 9 p.m. Thursday.
The man reportedly entered the store and purchased two items. While the clerk was completing the transaction, the man pulled out a black semi-automatic pistol from his waist and demanded money.
The suspect then took a bag from the counter and put an undisclosed amount of money in it. He then fled the store on foot heading south on Route 51.
A store employee described the man as a black male, 18-25 years old and six-feet tall with a thin build and dark complexion. He was wearing a white polo-type shirt with short sleeves, green/brown camo shorts and a tan safari hat.
No one was injured during the robbery.
