Police Investigate Lawrence Co. Alleged Attempted Child Abduction
PERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are investigating an alleged attempted child luring in Lawrence County.
According to police, the incident happened on Saturday around 8:30 p.m. at a home on Line Street in Perry Township.
A 6-year-old boy was on a swing set in his yard when he was allegedly approached by the suspect. As the boy attempted to run into the house, he was grabbed by the back of his shirt by the suspect.
The boy's mother said her son saw the man out of the corner of his eye as he entered the yard through a small opening.
"He saw the man walk in and come and sit down and he said that the man looked at him for a second and then said, 'Hi,'" the boy's mother, Chrissy Noysser said.
However, the boy was able to get inside and the suspect fled the scene. Noysser was in the house with her daughter, getting ready to go to a friend's house.
"I don't think he understands quite how serious it was and what could've really happened to him," she said. "But he knew what to do though. He knew that he shouldn't be talking to strangers, so he just ran."
Police say the man was able to escape through another opening in the yard and went through a neighbor's yard.
The suspect is described as being a white male approximately 30 to 40-years-old. He is about 5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build, light or blond hair with a beard and a skeleton tattoo on one forearm.
He was last seen wearing shorts and a T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle.
