Apparent Home Invasion In Knoxville Leaves 1 Dead
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One person is dead following an apparent home invasion late Sunday night in Pittsburgh's Knoxville neighborhood.
The incident happened before 10 p.m. in the 300-block of Rochelle Street near Grimes Avenue.
According to initial reports from officials at the scene, one person was shot and killed.
"Officers found a 19-year-old victim who had been shot and he was pronounced deceased inside the home. There's possibly two people who entered the home and shot the victim and possibly fled in a light-colored car," Pittsburgh Police Cmdr. Thomas Stangrecki said.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office was called and police remained on the scene late into the night continuing to investigate.
Authorities have not yet identified the person who died.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
