Police Identify Shooting Victim Found In Homewood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police are continuing to investigate following the discovery of a body in Homewood late Friday morning.
Authorities say the body of 22-year-old Waishard White, of Wilkinsburg, was found just before noon in a wooded area in the 7200-block of Stranahan Street.
Police report that he had an apparent gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
According to investigators, White is believed to have been shot Wednesday evening in the 7100-block Everton Street.
Police say White's car was reported missing after the shooting, but it later turned up near the Penn Hills Giant Eagle.
Also, police say another man injured in that same shooting Wednesday night but his injuries were not serious.
