Police Hoping Posters Will Help Solve East Hills Teen's Murder
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police spent Thursday canvassing the East Hills with posters about the recent death of a 14-year-old.
Kelvin Lovelace was killed in May while attending a graduation party in Wilkinsburg.
Witnesses say another teen shot into the crowd and hit Lovelace in the back of the head.
"There is no reason that a 14-year-old child should be shot and killed," said Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant.
Although a crowd of 200 people was estimated to be at the event, police have not found the person responsible for the teen's death.
"There's many witnesses here, many people around that saw what happened and we're begging for the community's help," said Pittsburgh Police Lt. Victor Joseph.
Today police hung posters in the East Hills hoping to find a lead.
