Police: Drunk Man Hits Pedestrian With Car In Indiana Co.
INDIANA COUNTY (KDKA) – One man was jailed after police say he hit a pedestrian, while driving drunk in Burrell Township Wednesday night.
Police say 33-year-old Aaron Pribicko was driving along Old William Penn Highway, near Villa Road, around 11:30 p.m., when he hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
"The force of the impact threw him into a field located along the roadway," said State Police Tpr, Mark McMahan.
Police say Pribicko had a "strong distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person, he was visably (sic) swaying while standing still speaking with this officer and appeared on several occasions to be unsure of his footing (stumbled)."
Police say this was the second time in the last five months that Pribicko had been driving drunk.
He was charged with aggravated assault while drunk driving under the influence. He's in the Indiana County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Court records also show Pribicko awaiting a preliminary hearing on DUI charges from October of last year.
