Police: Drunk Man Breaks Into Church To Sleep
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) - A man has been jailed on burglary charges after police say he broke into a western Pennsylvania church after a night of drinking, only to be found fast sleep by police the next morning.
Online court records don't list an attorney for 38-year-old Lee Edward Sager, of Richland Township, who remained in the Cambria County Prison unable to post bond on charges including burglary.
Lower Yoder Township police tell the (Johnstown) Tribune-Democrat that Sager apparently kicked open a door at St. Andrew Catholic Church late Saturday night, then spent time in the attached rectory living room before falling asleep in an upstairs bedroom.
The church's pastor says it doesn't appear Sager took anything, and the suspect tells police he was drinking at a bar and doesn't remember how he got inside the church.
