Police: Bank Robbery Suspect Stops To Bum Cigarette
AMBRIDGE (KDKA/AP) - Police say a bank robbery suspect was nervous when a construction worker saw the suspect throw his shirt in a trash container - but not so harried that he didn't stop to bum a cigarette first.
Paul William Carman, 36, was arrested in Ambridge less than 45 minutes after police say he robbed the Huntington Bank on Merchant Street.
Carman says he's homeless.
Patrolman Zadock Dismuke said this marks the second time in recent years that Carman has been charged with robbing the Huntington Bank.

Acting Ambridge police Chief Sgt. James Mann also told the Beaver County Times that Carman gave a Huntingdon Bank teller a note saying, "This is a robbery. No dye packs. No alarms," about 1:30 p.m. Friday.
The construction worker told the newspaper police gave him and others near the bank a description of the robber moments before Carman stopped to discard his shirt and ball cap- which matched the police description - then asked for a cigarette.
When he was arrested Friday afternoon, Carman was on parole stemming from the earlier heist.
Dismuke said several thousand dollars was taken in the most recent incident.
He says most of the loot has been recovered, except "for a few hundred dollars that Carman paid to a drug dealer."
No one was hurt in Friday's robbery.
Carman's girlfriend, who was with him before and after the holdup, is also expected to face charges.
A man and his son who drove the couple from the scene of the crime won't be charged because they didn't realize what had happened.
