Police Arrest Suspect In Alleged Assault In Ambridge
AMBRIDGE (KDKA) -- Ambridge police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault after a woman let him use her phone.
The alleged attacker, 19-year-old Austin Reefer, was a friend of a friend. She says once he used the phone he exposed himself and made demands.
"And when I refused to do it, he grabbed my hand. He proceeded to have me do it for him, and I yanked away and pushed him, and when that aroused him, he grabbed the back of my head," she continued with details about the traumatic event.
The trauma did not end the moment it all happened.
She says she still lives with it, even while sharing her bedroom with her husband. The last two days have been unbearable.
"We were sleeping earlier and just before the kids got up for school, and I was laying there, and I could have sworn that he was standing over top of me and looking at me, and I was so petrified that I couldn't even breathe," she said.
Based on her description and statements to police, a warrant was issued for Reefer.
He was taken into custody and arraigned late Wednesday afternoon.
Reefer faces charges including indecent assault, indecent exposure and harassment.
