Police Arrest 2, Seize Drugs During Warrant Sweep
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Authorities arrested two people and seized a semi-automatic weapon and drugs during a warrant sweep in Homewood and Wilkinsburg.
According to the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, Robert Hyatt, Jr. and Jamal Scarbourgh were taken into police custody Friday.
Officials say Hyatt was wanted by Wilkinsburg Police on an active warrant for drug charges.
Police say they found a stolen semi-automatic weapon and more than 260 stamp bags of heroin inside his Penn Hills apartment.
Meanwhile, authorities say they arrested Scarbourgh after finding him tossing a pound of marijuana from his apartment window in Wilkinsburg.
He was wanted for violating his probation on a firearms conviction.
Allegheny County Sheriff's Deputies, probation officers, Wilkinsburg Police and Penn Hills Police participated in the sweep.
