Police: 2 Suspects In Blawnox Break-Ins May Have Been Caught On Camera
BLAWNOX (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police say two masked men broke into a building in Blawnox and made off with three handguns, three shotguns, some iPhones and cash.
The burglaries happened at 700 Blaw Avenue.
The suspects kicked in the glass on a door, and got inside the manager's office.
After the first break-in back on Oct. 24, the owner of the building installed a security camera system, which police think captured the same two men trying to break into the building a second time on Nov. 11.
The burglars didn't get anything during their second attempt, but the same night, they targeted a neighboring business.
Det. Steve Dish, of the Allegheny County Police, told KDKA-TV: "We think the same suspects broke into the nearby UPMC St. Margaret School of Nursing in Blawnox, stealing seven laptop computers, several cameras and cash."
Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at 412-255-8477.
