Polamalu Voted Steelers' MVP
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) -- It's official. Troy Polamalu is the Steelers MVP.
He's the first safety in 30 years to get the honor.
Despite missing the last two games with an Achilles' injury, Polamalu is tied for the AFC lead with six interceptions. He also was chosen as the NFL defensive player of the week in successive weeks.
Polamalu has made a series of game-altering plays, including the forced fumble that led to the decisive touchdown and a 13-10 victory in Baltimore on Dec. 5. He returned an interception for a touchdown a week later against Cincinnati.
The MVP is voted on by the players.
